As I'm sure you have noticed, we have been rolling out new features on our hosting plans consistently. I am very interested in hearing what our customers and prospective customers would like to see in terms of features that would make their web hosting more valuable. In recent months, we have rolled out (not in chronological order):

ColdFusion MX 7.0 (new version)
SmarterStats web analytics (replaced LiveStats, now included with all plans)
SmarterMail (replaced Imail)

ASP.NET 2 Beta hosting
VisualVault enterprise-class document management
A new Miva Merchant 5.0 hosting platform based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
New HostMySite Linux plans based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
An upgraded network with Gigabit connections and Juniper ISG2000 firewalls

Believe it or not, all of those things happened this year (and I probably missed more than a few)! We have many more interesting and valuable new services in store for our customers. I am very interested to hear your feedback on the new services we have rolled out, and what we can do to provide you with even more value. Next up - blogging! Stay tuned.

Uh oh... HMS blogs... that could be BAD... think of all the corperations that allow their employees to blog and how many of those employees have had problems due to bad judgement on blog material... Bloozie says Ruh Rooohhh...

Personally I think each and every one of the updates mentioned above is insanely useful. Smartermail and Smarterstats are MUCH better than their predecessors, and we've heard from a number of clients to have said just that. I would venture to say less than a dozen clients preferred the old systems to the new, which works out to something like a 99.9999999999% approval rating.

You're right... the mail and stats alone are better for everybody. Well, excluding those people who think it's extremely important to know how many people are on yoru site RIGHT NOW (and there are still ways to tell). And that's speaking for both ends too... the Smartertools packages must have reduced your ticket/call numbers some.

Whew, what a list... and just think, there are even more great features on the way. As a matter of fact, we added WordPress Blogs to every shared hosting plan today!
