Can I do this via the HTML tab with new email message?

I tried cutting & pasting my code ... but i didn't see anything when I switched to design mode.

Obviously, I'm a newbie.

You can't actually insert the image into the email, so if you did want to do this you'd have to put the image in as an external link, i.e. something like this:

Code:
<img src="http://www.yoursite.com/yourimage.jpg">

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HTML EMAIL!!!
Anyone that uses HTML email should be drug out in the street and whipped with a wet noodle!! A VERY LONG WET NOODLE!

Email is text...websites are HTML...and that's just the way it is.
HTML Email is 99% of the reason why we have all the spyware adware problems we have out there today...

Okay Dave, er, I mean bobum. Laughing

But I concur. I use text only email, subscribe to text only subscriptions, and even have HTML email display as plain text. Email is SOOOO much safer this way. HTML is the bane of email communication.

I like my pretty HTML emails. Of course I only mean from the trusted sources... Maybe, I'm the exception but I kind of like seeing all the products they are trying to sell me in graphics instead of text. I'm talking about the emails where I've subscribed to, not the unsolicited ones that repeatedly hit my inbox in efforts to sell this poor college student some pre approved 400K mortgage or some magical beans.

My theory is if they want to sell me something - email me a URL - then I'll go look at your pretty webpages - don't fill my email box with that stuff

I can't be bothered to click on additional links to fill the overwhelming amount of windows/tabs that I normally have. Also, since I've already open the darn email, might as well see what the heck it is they are trying to sell me and for how much. Gives me a better idea on the price range of stuff (like LCD monitors that I'm currently eyeing for...). I suppose I also don't like reading, lots of text...great turn off...

HTML e-mails are bad. Flash enabled HTML e-mails are even worse. No deference sir, I'm sure it's innocuous, but the very concept should be nipped in the bud. Plain text is the best, most effective way to not have your e-mails flagged as spam. HTML may be nice, but it causes too many problems. No fancy fonts, no fancy colors. Black and white text. It may not look "pretty" but your writing should speak for itself, not the font you choose.

I'd weep for the days when it was my mail client but that would mean being paid less and working for a company which was run more foolishly than I'd care to remember. To [heck] with that.
