Okay...I am a Miva newbie and have tons of questions...I guess I'll just go ahead and ask...

1. Can anybody help me with getting my shopping cart pages (including product pages) into frames? I want to center the contents but can't figure out a way to do this without buying OpenUI. Any help would be appreciated. If you check out my site at www.creativechickdesign.com you can see what I'd like it to look like (yellow border, centered, etc.) then if you look at http://www.creativechickdesigns.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CCD&Category_Code=TYC7 you see that everything moves over and i can't keep the border.

2. How do I test the shopping cart without using real transactions?

3. How can I get the 'Checkout' button to display ON the shopping cart page so I can remove the standard navigation bar and just my own?

Thanks so much to anyone who can help!

Frames are ok in some situations... for instance I am working on a complex web app for scientific research where a lot of information needs to be available at one time and it totally increases performance not having to reload everything each time.

Why anyone would use it for ordinary stuff anymore escapes me though.

This is going to sound stupid, but I'm pretty green when it comes to this stuff. I don't quite understand what you mean. Is that a piece of code or is that a question for me. You can laugh at me if you must Wink

No no not gonna laugh we all have to learn sometime right? In the styles for the outermost container (table, div, whatever just inside the body tags) include that CSS... that should center your site.

So say I'm in the Miva Admin thing...I have my custom navigation bar in the global header section...do I add that to this part or somewhere else?

Methinks she is NOT a programmer Josh...

Jess - I think he is talking about in the actual pages of your site - not in any kind of Miva control panel. You are probalby going to have to dig into the actual HTML of your sites pages to make the changes you want. I may be wrong but I doubt this kind of stuff can be done from inside a control panel. These are code/style changes.

That part I totally understand. I just don't know how to get into the HTML of the shopping cart pages. I didn't think I had access to that (hence using the control panel). All the pages that I have designed myself (static) are centered and fine. It's just the Miva pages that I'm having a problem with. Does that make a little more sense? Thanks for all your help!

Using the global header and footer, you can wrap the entire miva store either in a table or a div with css. Is this what you are referring to in your posts?

YES!! However, as I'm sure you can tell, I'm not a programmer...could you help me out with the exact code that I should put in there? I'm not using CSS right now. I'll probably just put the whole thing in a table.

thank you sooooo much.

when i followed the link it said...Your search for global-width revealed no matches. Try to use more or different keywords.
